An Exeter software development company which has seen rapid growth through increasing demand for its products and services has expanded into new, larger offices at Exeter Science Park.
Joiin, established in 2019, has created a financial reporting platform that enables finance teams and advisors to quickly and easily consolidate group financial data from multiple sources in a fraction of the time it traditionally takes.
As the company goes from strength-to-strength, it has taken advantage of the growth pathway offered at Exeter Science Park and moved from its current home in the Science Park Centre to larger offices in the park’s most recently opened facility, the George Parker Bidder Building.
Paul Shipway, chief commercial officer at Joiin, said: “In developing our software, we recognised that there wasn’t another off-the-shelf product that worked well for multi-entity groups, so the founders set about creating something that would do that.”
The company operates a subscription-based SaaS model and signed up its first customers in 2020; since then Joiin has seen significant growth and now has over 40,000 companies using its software across 135 countries.
Paul added: “Things have gone from strength-to-strength in the last few years. We saw a huge uptake during the pandemic when people were working from home but still needed to access data, and have successfully managed to carry that momentum forward to today.
“It is critically important to us to have a base where we all come together. The Science Park team have supported us fantastically and enabled us to grow from our original space into the new offices.”
Paul added: “The facilities offered at the Science Park are fantastic for start-up businesses, there is lots of support available should you need it and always someone to help. The flexibility that is offered means businesses can grow and know there will be offices that will meet those needs. This is particularly useful when you can’t predict how fast that growth will be.
“There’s also a community feel at the Science Park that is really positive, meaning you are part of something which is bigger than your own company and that is really important to us.”
